Scared of your Purpose

Are you scared of your purpose? Something magical happened this week. I just get goosebumps telling you about this.

So I have been working with her for some weeks now. On the outside, she is a high achiever, a very hard worker, and real action-taker. She is successful, praised by her work ethic, and she knows how to get things done.

But she pays a high price. As she finds herself in constant survival mode. She is exhausted but can’t sleep. She is strong but feels weak. She is highly stressed and stuck. And even though she has seen soooo many coaches and therapists before, she felt deep down something was not in sync.

So we started to work together. And we went deep. All way to the unseen root of her issues, her self-sabotage, he limiting beliefs, her pain. And we broke through that.

And this week, she saw it. She felt it. She knew it.

Your light turned on

I won’t go into the details of her process too much, because that is her story to tell, but she discovered what was the deep hidden thing that was holding her back her whole life, what she continuously ignored and denied in the past. And now she just knows with her whole being that this is her path. Her calling. Her purpose.

I just saw her light being turned on.

She deeply felt that she had to make from her mess her message.

And part of her is resenting it.

Because it feels so big, pretty overwhelming, and a huge turning point in her life.

And I see this resentment, hesitation, doubt, and fear often with women who have a huge wake-up call, an enormous aha-moment, and who get so much clarity on their calling.

And even though they can’t deny it anymore, it can feel pretty scary.

Maybe you recognize this too?

Unknown Territory

As an ambitious woman, you know how to make something happen. You are down to earth. You focus, plan, structure, and organize. You are very aware of strategizing. You make sure you know what steps to take, and what the goal is. What results you want to achieve.

scared of your purposeBut when you decide to open up to the whispers of your soul and the path of your calling, it may bring you into unknown territory. It’s vague. Woo-woo even. The final destination (if there is any) is not clear. And there is a lot of just not knowing.

Following your gut, your intuition, your heart, is not rational or logical.

It’s not strategized or mapped.

It’s not a clear 5-year plan.

It’s vague, uncertain, and full of exploration.

It’s so creative and playful.

It’s where you need to lean back and be patient too, instead of leaning in and pushing through.

It’s right brain instead of left brain.

It’s feminine instead of masculine.

It’s soft instead of loud.

And that is super confusing. Yet so clear.

Surf the Void

What we need to really learn here is to surf the void.

To be ok to not knowing what this path will lead to. To just walk the path and trust that whatever happens, happens for a reason. And to not forget to have some fun along the way.

There are 3 important things for you to know though if you decide to go on this journey:

First, you will be you and you will stay yourself. So your ambitions, values, personality, and your authenticity won’t go away. You’ll just become more whole and complete.

Even if you have found your calling, your purpose, and are led by your inner light, you still live life. Including all the ups and downs that go with it. And this means that new levels can create new devils. And you won’t be finished growing and developing as that is part of your human experience.

Lastly, you have free will. You are in control. You get to decide which door to open or to close, and when. And which call you accept and which one not. So this asks for your commitment, for taking up responsibility, and for honing in on your personal leadership.

I love to hear what is your take on this.

Do you know your calling?

And if you are not feeling it yet, but just know life has more in store for you: I am happy to work together so you get this deep clarity and magical things will be happening for you too.
