I’m Nikolien – it’s nice to meet you!

The women in my family had been running their own businesses for ages. They were juggling with life, as they struggled with motherhood, all responsibilities and roles, insecurity, trauma, and blockages.

In the early 19th century, my great-great-grandmother, Anna, set up a thriving business in the textile industry. Back then, it was unusual for women to have their own careers or even earn their own money! But Anna really wanted to make a difference to others and be a role model for her children.

What was even more unusual was that as Anna’s business became more successful, her husband Jan gave up his job as a police officer to join her. Anna was the main breadwinner in their family and Jan was always so supportive of his wife. I am proud to say that they were a couple ahead of their time. But it also gave Anna a lot of challenges and she had to be mentally strong.

Anna’s blood runs through my veins and shaped me into who I am today. As a mother and entrepreneur, I know how important it is not only to be successful, but also to leave a positive legacy for our children. It is my mission to help other mothers do the same.

Anna’s legacy

As women and mothers, it is important to set an example and leave some kind of legacy for our children. I imagine how difficult it must have been for Anna to go against all expectations and conventions, and how many nights she may have spent awake worrying, facing insecurity and doubt. And despite this, she broke patterns and is an inspiration to the many women after her.

I wish all mothers the power of Anna and so I am very passionate about helping perfectionist, worrying and people-pleasing moms, so that they too can live their best lives and have a positive impact on the world!

Yes, I am ambitious, an explorer, an entrepreneur, but I am also a woman, a mother, and an individual who leads from the heart and wants to make a difference!

I am no-nonsense, open, direct, and not afraid to kick ass when needed, but I can also offer you much-needed warmth, support, and attention.

Being successful is not all grey suits and cold boardroom meetings. It’s about connection, fulfilment and being a positive role model for our children.

From Ballroom Dancer to International Business Owner

My career journey so far has been an interesting one. Today, I’m an international award-winning therapist, coach, trainer, and mentor for moms who struggle with their mental health and with trauma. I have run a global company for many years and have been the main provider in my family for a long time as well.

However, before becoming an entrepreneur, I worked in several high-pressure executive corporate positions around the world. And before that I used to be a top athlete in Ballroom dancing, doing international competitions while earning an MBA degree.

tHEN ONE DAY, i started a quest...

Working as a coach at the time, I was not satisfied with the results my female clients were seeing. It felt too much like a quick fix, or a strategy to deal with problems.

The point is, if you need a strategy to learn to deal with problems, it doesn’t mean that the underlying problem has gone away. I wanted to do things differently. At the time, I felt I was doing the same thing as all the other coaches and therapists. The approach was not good enough for women, and therefore gave average results.

But as they say, “What got you here won’t get you there!” and so I knew something had to change if I wanted to not only get better results for my clients, but also live my own full potential.

So I began a quest.
I learned coaching methodologies that helped me shake up the entire personal development industry in Europe. I became an international trainer for other coaches and therapists and had a wildly thriving practice. Until I realised something to myself…

I was stuck...

I realised that I had always lived a life from my head. A head full of perfectionism and control. I was always ‘switched on’, always in survival mode. I had spent years fighting to do everything perfectly, to perform and prove myself, both in my work and private life. Just like Anna and women after her. But this was a stuck pattern, inherited from generations before me and thus an invisible chain tying me to constant anxiety and stress. I was thundering straight towards burnout and I didn’t even realise it.

Until something unexpected happened that rocked everything. One day, I was suddenly on the verge of losing almost everything I had worked so hard for. Something traumatic happened to me.

I found myself in what is often described as the ‘dark night of the soul’. It felt like everything I had built up was collapsing, and I had to reinvent myself. It was a period of intense pain, but it forced me to break my old patterns and look inward. I had to let go of my perfectionism, control, and fear and learn to trust my intuition and heart.

The truth is, I have felt the same fears, pain, overwhelm, guilt, pressure, frustration and worry as you do now. I know what it’s like to be stuck in old (intergenerational) patterns and feel like you have no way out. But I got rid of it.

That experience taught me what true transformation is all about. It is not about simply achieving goals or following a strategy. It’s about recognising your inner blocks, embracing them and releasing them. It’s about finding balance between head, heart and intuition, and learning to trust the wisdom that lies within yourself.

I have gone through my own deep transformation and now I am here to help you walk the same path. You too can live a life of fulfilment, success and happiness, and make a difference that will be remembered for generations.
